My Top 5 Favourite Youtubers - Part 2!

Check out part 1 here.

Yes. I am obsessed with Youtube. I spent most of my times on Youtube. I watch all kind of stuff, from beauty related videos to gaming videos to late night shows. I have a problem, I know. Anyway, let's get started.

1. Pony

I. ADORE. Her.
For those who have no idea who she is, Pony is a Korean MUA and she has a beauty segment on InsiteTV, Pony's Beauty Diary where she has tons of beauty tips and tutorials.
Despite that, she has recently created her own channel and she stated that she will start doing product reviews and more tutorials that her fans demand. Eeeek! *happy squeaks*
So guys, if you're a fan of Pony, make sure you subscribe to her new channel!

She also recently did a collaboration with Memebox to create her own eye shadow palettes and quads. I would seriously purchase them if they provide shipment to Malaysia.

2. easyNeon

Diana is born and raised in Moldova. When I first watched her video, I thought she was a MUA because her blending technique is insane and her winged eyeliners are ON POINT, 24/7. I also love how she films and edits her video - Her soundtracks are amazing (and more to my taste). Another fact that I love about her is that she doesn't put tons of makeups on her face like how the other Youtube beauty "gurus" are doing - Intense contour and highlight, full coverage of foundation and concealers - Nope, that's not Diana do her thang. She understands less is more and I appreciate that.

How can someone be so elegant, classy and timeless?
It's not about the way she looks but rather how she carries hserself.

To put words into simpler terms, I'm in love with her.

3. BEAUTYQQ // Queenie Chan

Queenie Chan is a Hong Kongese. She used to work for TVB and she just got back to the airline industry (her portfolio is very long). She is quirky and humorous and she does makeup tutorials occasionally, but most of the time she acts as a life coach (well at least to me), and that is why I enjoy her videos so much. I always feel better after watching her videos. And again, we share the same taste in music (a bonus!).

Something she said that I will always remember,

"其实快乐真係好简单 唔好成日抱怨上天对你唔公平 路係自己行嘅 唔去努力 只想不劳而获 呢d 係傻仔傻妹先至会讲嘅说话 对于梦想 我们要一不做二不休 用心做到最好 咁样就一定会成功的了."

I've never met someone who love, appreciate and enjoy life as much as she does.
She is my spiritual guidance and I look up to her alot.

4. NikkieTutorials

I have no idea why have I not discovered her earlier. She is a dutch hair and makeup artist (like, a legit and professional one, click here to learn more about her) and she has a very impressive portfolio but wait, she's only 22! How is that even possible? Young and successful, that is definitely Nikkie. (Ya'll seriously need to check out her portfolio, she did lots of fashion editorial shoots and her works are amazing!)

She has amazing skills, nuff said. Besides, she is genuine and honest and her bubbly personality always makes me laugh. I admire her alot.

5. LipglossLeslie

She deserves more subscribers imo, definitely underrated. I recently stumbled upon her channel while searching for a product review and boy am I not disappointed. I can always count on her before purchasing something as Leslie gives the most honest, on point and descriptive review (and/or comparisons) ever.

She also got me into starting my Tarte blush collection. Teehee.

Anyway, I hope you guys will enjoy their videos as much as I do.
Till then. x

My top 5 favourite Youtubers!

Hey guys. Hope you're having a wonderful day.
If you have read my earlier blog post, you probably already knew I am currently in an industrial placement.
I am doing my internship presently at a food company which I will not reveal for privacy purpose. Not going to lie, 8 to 5 is no fun. Period. But I'm glad my co-workers have been nothing but helpful and friendly. Nonetheless, it is definitely a very good warm-up for my future career. 19 weeks more to go! Yay!
Anyway, nuff chit chat. Let's get to the point.

My 5 favourite Youtubers. I am so obsessed with them and I think I have watched almost all of their videos. In my opinion they are very very underrated and deserve more views and subscribers.

1. KatheenLights

Kathleen mainly does makeup tutorials using different kind of palette and her makeup looks are down right gorgeous. She also does reviews and unboxing videos sometimes. I love that she's honest, does both high-end and drugstore products and most importantly, she's very, very, VERY funny. I mean, just look at her bloops! She is currently married and she and her husbands - They are crazy about each other. (They have a vlog channel too!) Kathleen is my spirit animal - Everything about her is perfect.

2. thekatizzzle

A Japanese American from Los Angeles, I first stumbled upon her secondary channel - where she gives college advice and whatnot. She is smart and quirky and sarcastic (which I love the most). Her eye makeup is very heavy in my opinion but despite that I enjoy watching her building very vibrant colour gradient. It's like art. Seriously. Other than that she also makes great Lookbook and Haul videos. I really love her Cali style - Cropped tops, high waisted acid washed shorts and a kimono cardigan, you know the drill. She doesn't upload videos as often though as she is currently pursuing a psychology degree but you can check out her Instagram anytime for her #ootd.

3. Tried and Tested
Tried and Tested is a show by Clicknetwork in which the host Shu An tries out beauty products and gives reviews in every episode. Her reviews are very honest and the videos are really helpful. Some videos are not on Youtube though, so you ought go watch it from Clicknetwork website. Here are some of my favourite videos.

4. RRcherrypie Group
I first started watching their videos after searching Kracie Popin' Cookin' on Youtube. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, Popin' Cookin' is a Japanese DIY kit where you make miniature food like sushi, takoyaki by using just water and powders. I find their videos very soothing and therapeutic that sometimes I watch the videos until I fall asleep whenever I'm having insomnia. Still have no idea what I'm talking about? Check out his videos below.

5. Cryaotic

Last but not least, Cryaotic! (Also affectionately known as Cry.) He is probably my favourite gamer on Youtube and I have mentioned him several times on my blog. Let's be honest - He sucks at playing (certain games). But what attracted me (and other subscribers as well) are mostly his personality - He's humble, compassionate, down to earth, funny... And his voice. His voice is so awesome I can never get tired of listening to him. No one knows what is his real name and how he looks like - He never reveals for privacy purpose and to be honest, I understand and I respect that. Plus, every outro of his videos are amazing and very nice edited. (Love your music taste yo, Cry.) He also streams every Saturday night (11pm America East Coast time) where he plays games with his friends and interacts with the viewers. Sadly the stream often starts on Sunday early mornings Malaysia time so I don't really have the chance to join and watch. Sad emoji.
Anyway, some of my favourite gameplays are To The Moon, Bioshock Infinite, Broken Age, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons etc.

I hope you'd enjoy their videos! Now tell me, who's your favourite Youtubers?

Jeon Ji-hyun signature lip dupes

From time to time there's always some songs or movies that's been the IT topic on everyone's lips, this time it's a Korean drama called "You Who Came From the Stars". I've been watching this drama for almost a month now and I'm crazy about it.
tumblr_mznjwgz4Qe1revobio1_400

Apparently I'm not the only one. Almost everything the actress, Jeon Ji-hyun wears in the drama are sold out atm in Gangnam, especially YSL no. 52 lipstick she uses to create the signature look - Glowy skin, filled-in brows, tight-lined eyes, a light touch of mascara & last but not least, the statement lips.

But not all of us can afford YSL. Or in my case, there's no YSL counter in Malaysia. (I know. It sucks.)
But that's okay. We'll come around.

#1 The Kissable Rosy Pink:

The signature fuschia pink lip.
The signature fuschia pink lip.

Putting YSL's texture & pigmentation (that makes us love them even more) aside, here is some few cheaper alternative available to create the statement lips.

  • NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

1289
"Antwerp".
San Paulo.
"San Paulo".

Everyone loves NYX, especially the matte lip cream. Temptalia 2012 editor's choice award, hello?

  • Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

14081215
"Sweetheart".
14081316_201401241515
 "Smitten".

Do not judge the colour by the tube. Both Sweetheart & Smitten look quite similar after application.
Also something I have to say - Not good on chapped/dry lips.

#2 The Classic Red:

No Iope in your country?

  • MAC
MAC-Russian-Red-Rubby-Woo-1
"Russian Red" & "Ruby Woo".

Both are fairly similar except that one has cool tone while the later is warmer. So it depends on your undertone whether which suits you well. Or you can just get both cause one can never have enough MAC.
Again, Revlon (try the colour "Really Red") is the cheaper alternative but honestly, Ruby Woo and/or Russian Red worth the money.

#3 The Orange Lips:

(I ran out of ideas for name)

jeon-ji-hyun-orange-lipstick
On her: Laneige Serum Intense lipstick in "Neon Orange".

Fashion comes and goes, but orange is forever.

  • Bobbi Brown

bobbibrown_orange003
"Orange".

  • MAC

"Morange".
"Morange".

  • NYX Matte

716
 "Indie Flick".

Funny how I was so close on purchasing this shade the other day.

Anyway, most dupes I found above come in matte so for a glossy finish, just add a layer of lip balm or colourless lip lacquer.

Also another tips on wearing heavy-pigmented statement lips: Exfoliate & slap on some lip balm. Put on foundation/concealer or fill up the lips with nude lip pencil before applying.

Pony's tutorial on how to create the signature look.

Now off you go to the nearest Sephora or any drug store and good luck finding the right shade!

Inspired again.

image

Went to Putraja and a small factory in Kajang today and was told to write 2 reports regarding this field trip. I was like, meh. Reports, outdoor, adult talks, boring.

But I learnt a lesson today: Things never come free, you have to work hard to earn it even though sometimes hard work doesn’t mean you’ll get back what you have given. Sometimes you’ll fail, but the failure shouldn’t make you stop. Just like what Pink said, you gotta get up and try try try.

This lady inspires me and gives me motivations to move forward. Thanks.
